For once she wasn't the first to arrive to the arena floor. Her opponent was waiting for her as she stepped onto the field, his sudden cheeriness catching her off guard for a moment before she swiftly recovers. "Triple h?" Tori asked with a slight tilt of her head. She was curious but she'd ask no further questions. [break][break]

"I'm Tori," she introduces herself simply and offers him a curt salute in return for his wave. "and this is Oz. We look forward to battling with you." She was just going through the routine and being polite. It's probably why Osiris offered her a quizzical glance before barking a sharp greeting in response, following his trainer's welcome.

Victoria blinked a few times, still a bit confused. If she was being honest, she wasn't exactly hip with the terms and slang the youth use nowadays. Now, that made her sound an awful lot like a 'boomer' despite her young age, but could you blame her? Look who she was closest to, THEO BECKETT, Cillian Quinn, and jayden cross just to name a few. Of course it was expected for things like this to go over her head.[break][break]

Tori slips on the vital gear that had been provided for her as she watches on as the match begins in earnest. Osiris bombarded by froakie clones intent on keeping the jackal in place for a malevolent tongue lashing. With a click of her tongue Osiris begins to focus, his eyes lightly glowing as he attempts to read the aura of his opponent, seeking the truth of the real one among all the clones surrounding him.[break][break]

Once he believes he has his target in his sights he starts cooking up some countermeasures. Soon, a green aura begins to envelop the canine, swallowing it's body whole before the Lucario becomes a sudden blur, thanks to EXTREME SPEED. Enhancing his speed was usually the first step. Closing in on his target to overwhelm it with a barrage of CLOSE COMBAT techniques was always sure to follow swiftly after.[break][break]

All things considered, the match seemed to be evenly paced, much to Victoria's surprise. She could only hope such good fortune would clearly smile upon her, but she was also aware that was wishful thinking. Osiris had managed to avoid the barrage of LICKS but his hits didn't quite land the mark.[break][break]

Tori whistled to grab her Lucario's attention. Once his ears twitched in her direction she knew he was aware of her instruction. With a quick glance at his trainer he'd see her wave her hand in front of her face. It was a nonverbal command but one he'd obediently follow. When the SMACK DOWN from the Froakie struck the earth, a timely QUICK GUARD was put up on the Lucario's part before dust billowed and spread all around them.[break][break]

Osiris was nowhere to be seen in the smoke. Meanwhile, Victoria kept her eyes on the readings from her vital gear, her arms crossed over her chest. When the dust settled Oz was nowhere to be seen. But moments late a blue light seemed to envelop the field. From a new vantage point above a giant AURA SPHERE had been charged and was now barreling towards the froakie.[break][break]

The AURA SPHERE connected and Tori nodded in approval. If she was being honest she had expected it to miss just like countless others had. But she'll take her wins where she can get them. Arceus knows she hovered more towards the 'unlucky' side anyway. "Again." Tori spoke as she watched the froakie recover and use HYDRO PUMP at Osiris. [break][break]

Osiris huffed and began to channeling light around him once more. This time the brilliance of the light was blinding as he formed it into a beam of light. A FLASH CANNON aimed to cut through the water blast and strike his weakened opponent. A gutsy move that left him wide open should he fail. [break][break]

Osiris took the point but he had been hoping that he would manage to slow down the froakie just a touch. The froakie recovered and was back at it again, another HYDRO PUMP aimed for the Lucario. Victoria had to give it to her opponent, their resilience was impressive. It would seem that distance was the aim of the game this time. [break][break]

But as usual, Osiris wasn't going to keep it that way. A barrage of smaller AURA SHPERES were sent flying at the froakie while Osiris attempted to close the distance between the two. If this little move didn't work out then he was prepared with a follow up to end this thing once and for all. [break][break]

One embarrassing failure after the other. "Focus up, Osiris." she calls out to him before clicking her tongue is disappointment. Osiris shook off the blow, refusing to stay down long. After all, his opponent had caught it's second wind. They wouldn't allow him to rest. After getting some sense knocked into him, it would seem he was refocused.[break][break]

Tori twisted the mega accessory ring on her finger as she watched their opponent charge at them once more. A frown creased her brows before a soft sigh escaped her lips. "Crush it." she ordered before bringing the ring to her lips, planting a soft kiss. A brilliant light enveloped her Lucario once more as he mega evolved right before their eyes. Racing to meet his opponent he was prepared for CLOSE COMBAT. Wanting to take the fight to them once more. [break][break]
